This question has already been answered by noted LeBlanc family researcher Stanley LeBlanc. Norbert Dupree LeBlanc married only one Josephine Broussard and that was the daughter of Simon Broussard and Magdeleine Thibodeaux.

Email to Lee Crockett from Stanley LeBlanc. He may be contacted at the website address listed below.

Lee,

Marguerite LeBlanc was the second wife of Raphael Broussard. They had a daughter named Josephine who was born mid- 1803 and died Jan. 2, 1805 - see entry below

Josephine Broussard who married Norbert [Norbert Dupree] LeBlanc was the daughter of Simon and Magdeleine Thibodeau - see entries below

Can you post a response to World Connect?

Subject: Simon Joseph LeBlanc as a Black Man on Harrison Thomas' WorldConnect Project

Stanley,
Due to my recent postings on the LeBlanc Genforum that show Charlotte LeBlanc daughter of Norbert Dupree LeBlanc died in August of 1844, Harrison Thomas has now changed his WorldConnect file to reflect that Norbert Dupree LeBlanc married Josephine Broussard daughter of Raphael Broussard and Marguerite LeBlanc. Marguerite LeBlanc was the daughter of Comme LeBlanc and Isabelle Broussard. This new Josephine Broussard along with Norbert Dupree LeBlanc is in Harrison's file as the parents of the Mulatto Charlotte LeBlanc. So here again Harrison is saying the Simon Joseph LeBlanc md. Catherine Thibodeaux and md. Marguerite Guilbeaux family was Black at a point in time this was not possible.
In my files I have Josephine Broussard dying at age 18 months in 1805.
Lee
