In checking data I am able to find, I note that Felix married Melina Navarre on 2 February 1882 in Carencro, Louisiana(Church volume 1, page 147). Odalie Savoie is indeed listed as his mother.
The parents of Melina Navarre were Adrien Navarre and Emelie John. The couple had these children of which I am aware of: Telesphore born 19 January 1884 in Carencro (v.2, page 18(; Mary Edita born 3 April 1886 in Carencro (v.2 page 58); Idea born 8 December 1887 in Carencro (v.2, page 94); Wilford born 18 June 1892 in Carencro (v.2 page 186); and Joseph Darneville born 27 December 1896 in Carencro (v.3, page 238).
In checking for birth of Felix, the only Felix Broussard of color that I found was born in 1862, parents listed as Charles Broussard and Mamsel ?
I also checked on posssiblity of Felix being born as Felix Savoie, but found nothing.
I could suggest that you contact church in Carencro and ask for names of sponsors of children, providing them with date, volume and page numbers. This might provide us more leads in tracing Felix down.
