Married Harriett Cooley and had 7 children in Michigan. His brother Thomas, age 7- above, came to Michigan and owned property in Huron County in late 1800's; James (Jr.) and family live in the same house in 1900 and 1910, while Thomas moved into Bad Axe, MI. Sarah (Brown) Probyn's mother (Mary Brown), age 68, lives in the Probyn home. Mary Brown, b. abt. 1813: Her death notice says she was born Dumfriesshire, Scotland; she died in Ontario, Can. Several questions: about the difference in Sarah (Brown)Probyn's mother's name- 1861 it is Sarah; in 1881 she is Mary. Also, the difference in stated birth places. England/ or Scotland. I have no documentation, though, for any of the above, that connects them to me. Notify Administrator about this message?
