Does anyone have any info on these folks below?
Have just come across an interesting connection online for Brown family to Billings in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania- a Barzilla or Brasilla Brown married a Mary Billings- one of their daughters was Eleanor Brown born about 1825 in Pennsylvania, most likely in Luzerne County.
Eleanor Brown married Charles DETRO, but this surname seems to be spelled many ways, Dettor, Detter, Detlo....Charles was born 1820-1825 and died in (Washington, D.C.) on his way to battle, I presume the Civil War, on Feb. 17, 1864 after contracting an illness, leaving his wife and (at least) five children.
Eleanor his widow must have re-married, she is on the 1880 census at Ashley, Luzerne County, PA as Ellen SHANTON, with her five known children:
Clarence Detro born 1852 married Ruth Frederick
Arthur Detro born 1855
Lizzie (Elizabeth) Detro born 1860 md. Robert C. Parker
Henrietta Detro born 1862 md. Dr. E. S. Hayes
Lucy Detro born 1865 married Abraham Stroh
An online bio for Arthur Detro states he is the great grandson of CAIN BILLINGS and refers to the Wyoming Massacre so I am assuming this CAIN BILLINGS was the same man as the son of Samuel Billings and Sarah Keech. This Cain Billings son of Samuel was born about 1776 and was married to Helen/Nellie Fisher and until I read this online bio today for Arthur Detro, I only had children Margaret, Caleb, Samuel and another unknown son for CAIN and his wife. My guess is that there are more children in this family as yet not identified.
Mary Billings daughter of Cain and Helen would have been born after 1788 and possibly as late as 1800. (Her daughter Eleanor Brown was born 1825).

It also states that the father of Charles Detro was Conrad Detro an early settler of Carbon County (PA) and that "Brazillian Brown" and his wife Mary Billings were early settlers at Lackawanna County.
Would love to hear from anyone who knows who these people are- as far as I know, Sarah Keech wife of Samuel Billings was a daughter of a George Keech born at Rhode island; one of Sarah's brothers was my ancestor James Keech born 1763 at Fairfield, CT. Sarah's line was approved for DAR status many years ago.
