Michael J. Browne
Browne, Michael J. 76, of Necedah, WI, passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2007 at the Crestview Nursing Home in New Lisbon, WI. Michael was born in Chicago, IL on December 21, 1930 to Michael and Hazel Browne. He graduated from St. Rita High School and enlisted with the U.S. Navy in 1948. Michael was united in Holy Matrimony to Patricia Drozdz in 1975 while he was working for the U.S. Postal Service in Oak Lawn, IL. Michael retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1986 and he and Patricia moved to Necedah, WI in 1988. Michael's faith played a strong role in his life. He was a long time member of the Our Lady of Victory Catholic Chapel in Necedah. He was also a lifetime member of the VFW in Oak Lawn, Illinois. Michael adored his dogs and cats, loved coin collecting, carpentry and working in his garden. Michael is survived by his wife Patricia; son, Robert Browne of Worth, IL; daughters Barbara Latta of Oak Lawn, IL, Patricia (Patrick) Clancy of Oak Lawn, IL, and Cheryl (Dan) Rinck of Montgomery, IL; a brother Edward (Elizabeth) Browne of Chicago, IL; a sister, Jarleth (Edward) McDonough of Orland Park, IL; two grandsons, Daniel and Jake; along with many other relatives and friends. Michael's children would like to express their deepest gratitude to Marilyn Brand, Michael's sister-in-law, and her family for all of their support. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, November 26, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Our Lady of Victory Catholic Chapel in Necedah, WI. Father David Sansone will officiate. Burial will follow in the Queen of the Holy Rosary Mediatrix of Peace Cemetery in Necedah, WI. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 10:00 a.m until 10:45 at the Torkelson Necedah Family Funeral Home. On line condolences are available at www.torkelsonfuneralhome.com.
