j. brownlee was a principal at gravenhurst high school in the 1970's and his ?parents (or ?parents-in-law) were "doll" and harold cornish... i have a shoebox full of letters that "doll" sent to my mother, emily kay, a private duty nurse looking after doll's mother, mrs. brownlee, in london, ontario, dated 1970's...i found them amoungst my mothers' things after she passed away 4 years ago... doll and harold travelled alot, as these letters and postcards are sent from hawaii, california, and florida...there is also a letter from "j. brownlee" of gravenhurst high school... there must be some grandchildren or great grandchildren out there who would enjoy having these personal letters of their own family ancestors; i'd be more than happy to send them to you if you contact me... i recall meeting doll and harold cornish (lovely, friendly people) at their cottage at oakwood inn, grand bend when i was a teenager in the 1970's, and i also remember mrs. brownlee, as being a sweet elderly lady that my mom looked after in st. mary's hospital, london... dorothy p.s...there are numerous listings and fotos of other "brownlee's", in the book "euphemia township, 1849-1999", available from: the dawn-euphemia township office, RR#4, dresden, ontario, NOP 1M0... this is in lampton co. (i think!), close to sarnia, from where other brownlee's have posted info. Notify Administrator about this message?
