Looking for information on Ethel C. Butler, born Jan 1886 in NY, daughter of John G. and Francella C. (maybe Cole) Butler. Francella Butler was born in Nov 1853 in Maine and was a widow in 1900 when she and her four children were living in Manhattan, District 472. In addition to Ethel, the other Butler children were: Blanche, b Feb 1878 in PA; John G., born Apr 1888 in Massachusetts; and Maud, born Nov 1889 also in Massachusetts.

Ethel C. Butler married Cleveland Livingston Waterbury on 18 June 1904 at St. George's, Hanover Square, London, England. At the time of the marriage her mother resided at 342 West End Avenue, NYC. Cleveland Livingston Waterbury was the son of M/M James M. Waterbury, associated with the Knickerbocker Club. Cleveland's brother Larry's first wife was Eleanor Roosevelt's aunt, Maude Livingston Hall.

By 1910 Cleveland Waterbury was living in Idaho and at 23 years old said he was "widowed." He went on to marry Mildred Booth Crossman/Grossman, granddaughter of the actor Edwin Booth. By 1930 he and Mildred were divorced and he was married to his third wife, Frances, and by 1937 he died in Tyler, Texas, but was buried in NY.

Thank you.
