I contacted a 3rd. cousin in Horton,KS after trying to locate information on a John Cackler that lived there that was a cousin to my father. Recently she wrote saying they had met my parents at their Uncle John's. Their records show the brothers Ira, John and William H (Bill) and the three sisters. I never knew about 3 sisters. I had seen the census, also. The record on the brother said he was born in Lucas cnty. Iowa. Ira born in Farmington, Ill, and his sister, Amanda, born in Washington, Iowa. Thank you asking. I may not have received one of the Edylene inquiries because I was married, so my name was Smith.
My older brothers, living elsewhere, may not have replied. I seem to be the only one of us that is interested in all this. Thanks again. Nadyne
