My Cassel line seems to go back to the 14-1500's in Kassel Germany.My grandfather was John Harry Cassel and according to family "word of mouth" his brother being the eldest was in posession of the family Bible. His wife wanteds new dining room furniture and sold this priceless relic to an itinerent dealer. Years of searching concluded by a second cousin ,Ralph Cassel, could never uncover the whereabouts.
I'm a real new hunter in this field and would appreciate any help/
