Our lines are also descendant from Johannes Cassel via his
son Peter Cassel. Peter's eldest son Jacob founded Castlewood, Virginia (Russell Co.) in 1762. Most of our lines are using the "Castle" surname spelling but about 1/4
use variations of "Cassel-Cassell". Strangely enough, our
lines are the largest out of all three migrations to America. The book I am doing is currently at 1,500 pages
and it is strictly Castle-Cassell-Cassel surnames. It does
include some early Cassel lines from Pa. but I did not research these heavily. If you would like to add your lines just email me and I will add.
