This Lemuel MIGHT be the son of Lemuel and Charity Hurd Castle. Lemuel and Charity migrated to NY State in 1789. They had a son, Lemuel, born the same time frame as your Lemuel. Lemuel Jr. was in Ontario County for at least ten years, but he disappears. As some of Castles left Ontario Co.,NY to Michigan and Illinois, he might the one.
