Hello,
After years of researching my mother's family, now I'm trying to follow my father's ancestry. The furthest back I can go is Thomas and Hannah Castle/Castles from Hertfordshire England (possibly Walkern). Their son George (b. around 1818) was found guilty of theft and transported as a convict to Australia. He married Ann Burgess in Melbourne in 1844, although she was originally from Devon (b. 1821 in Witheridge). They had 10 children in Australia. Very keen to be able to trace back through English generations. Much info available re Australia generations.
