looking for anyone who was information on this family of Thomas Casto who married widow Elizabeth Vestal Redfern (daughter of William Vestal & Sarah Chamness) in Clinton OH 17 Mar 1825 by Jeremiah KIABROUGH (Clinton Co OH Marriage Book vol 2 pg 138).

I believe this Thomas Casto to have first married a Nancy Heritage - had two sons Abijah and Firmon. Firmon is also in Clinton OH at this time. I believe this is a second marriage for both.

Elizabeth is the widow of John Redfearn b. 1790 Randolph Co. NC who was in Ross & Jackson OH until about 1817 and then came to Warren/Clinton OH presumably to be closer to Vestal family members who were members of the Miami MM (Elizabeth was born quaker). John died abt. 1824 it isbelieved - he also served in the War of 1812. They had five known children:

John3 Redfearn (Isaac2, James1) was born 1790 in Randolph NC, and died 1824 in Warren OH. He married Elizabeth Vestal 05 Jun 1808 in Ross OH. She was born 1787 in Chatham NC, and died 14 Dec 1835 in Warren OH.

Children of John Redfearn and Elizabeth Vestal are:
+       179       i.       Isaac M4 Redfearn, born Bet. 1809 - 1812 in Ross OH; died 23 Feb 1844 in Fountain IN.
+       180       ii.       James Redfearn, born 27 May 1813 in Ross OH; died 19 Dec 1861 in Prairie, Cumberland IL.
+       181       iii.       John D Redfearn, born 1815 in Ross OH; died Aft. 1880 in prob. Placer CA.
+       182       iv.       William Redfearn, born 07 Jun 1823 in Clinton OH; died 29 Jul 1890 in Guthrie IA.
+ 183        v.        Susan Redfearn, born 1824 in Clinton OH; died Aft. 1850.

there are records that both Thomas & Elizabeth about 1834, probably due to the cholera outbreak that was occuring in SW Ohio at that time.

any information on any children they might have had, where they lived (they may be in 1830 Butler OH) would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
