I think I can clear this up for you. If not, let me know.

The Hiatt Book says that William Henry Chenoweth b. March 8, 1851, married Bertha Carrie Platt Dec. 22, 1872. They lived in Randolph County all their lives. Children: Harvey Crayton, Leonard Columbua, Frank E. Emory, and Howard H. These people are Cora
'Hiatt's family so I assume this would be correct. Could Carrie be Caroline? Carrie was sometimes used as a nickname.

I hope you can see the Hiatt Book. She has pictures of William Columbus (William Henry
father and also his mother. Cora delegated a whole section to these people going back to Richard Chenoweth in Baltimore, son of the first John.

The Harris Book says that William Henry married Martha Caroline Hiatt. Same dates .The children are Harvey Crayton, Leonard Columbus, Francis E. James Emory, Howard Blane. He says this came from the 1880 and 1900 Census.

I have found that Census takers make errors in recording names. But since Martha Caroline or? died in Jan. 193l you would find her obit in a newspaper in Lynn. Most newspapers keep back issues.

Let me know if I can give you more help. I'll be happy to.

Shannon
