Just came across your posting on the Chenoweth GenForum page. I can't help you much but will share a little info. My 4th great-grandfather was Richard Davis of Pickaway County, OH - probably Washington Twp. - but I haven't yet concentrated on research of the Davis family, so I don't know anything about him other than his wife was Susannah and they had a daughter Sarah born in 1807 who married William Reichelderfer.
My 3rd great-grandparents, who lived in Pickaway Co., OH, were James R. Chenoweth who was born 1778-1815 in Perry Co., OH and died about May 15, 1848 in Mexico as a result of being in the war against Mexico. His wife was Elizabeth Skinner born about 1806 in PA. She died 1876 and is buried in Washington Twp., Pickaway Co. Her parents were from Perry County also and that is where she and James were married. But I have found that at least Elizabeth lived in Pickaway Co. or the adjacent county of Fairfield the latter part of her life. Whether or not James and Elizabeth lived there prior to his going to war I have discovered yet. I have LOTS of research to be done on them.
Last year Pickaway Co. compiled a book of photos of old-time residents of the county, and there were two Chenoweth woman included in the photos, neither of which so far have proven to be closely related to my Chenoweth's described above. You might contact the Historical & Genealogical Society of Pickaway County and ask them to do some searching of their records. They have a huge amount of info and many volunteers who do such searches.
