Dear Roger Keith,
I have a copy page of a copy from the Stephen's bible in Oregon.
My husband's family is related to the Gibbs/ Wright marriage. I just recently found a relative from the Gibbs line that married into the Stephens. The relative wrote that Barna G Gibbs born in Indiana 1826 and Mary Eliza Sharon born in Mo. maybe Chariton Co., 1826, they m. in 1845. Mary's mother was a Hardrege (sp?) and Barna's mother was from Horsey Smith family. Barna's mother was Nancy W. Smith.
In the bible tho their children are: Lemmon Chenowith (but the grave says Gibbs-not info. from the bible) when he dies young of age in Grundy Co. Mo.. James C. who is buried in Canyonvile Oregon. Isaac Chenowith died (under Gibbs name on tomb-not in the bible) age 5 yrs old in Grundy Co. Mo. Nancy Jane(our relative) buried in Myrtle Creek and Mary Francis called Fannie, Fannie m. Stephens, buried in Myrtle Creek, Oregon. Barna, Mary Eliza, James, Nancy, Fannie all come out to Douglas County Oregon. There are Chenowith's in Douglas County and Yokum's.
One of our relatives new the Yokum's because they corrected the name on the census copy they gave me. Is it possible we are linked to you? Carol
