Age 73, widow of Annie Lee BRYANT Mrs.
B.W. BRYANT and daughter of the late JAMES LEWIS and Mrs. MARY JANE
WORRELL LEWIS, a native of Southampton County and a resident of
Norfolk most of her life. Died Tuesday, February 24, 1953 at 5:30 pm
in a Norfolk hospital after a long illness. She was a member of
Westminster Presbyterian Church and resided at 1615 DeBree Avenue.
Surviving are a son, BERNARD LEE BRYANT Senior of Norfolk; 4 sisters,
Mrs. L.J. CLARK and Mrs. T.W. DOZIER, both of Oceana, Mrs. BERTIE
JORDAN of Norfolk and Mrs. HURLEY BUTLER of Suffolk; a brother, O.J.
LEWIS of Norfolk, and a grandson, BERNARD LEE BRYANT Junior of Glenn
Oaks, NY. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, February 26, 1953
at the Derry-Twiford Funeral Home Thursday, February 26, 1953 at 3:30
pm by the Rev W.W. GROVER, pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Pallbearers: JAMES EURE, RAYMOND H. BUTLER, ROY (s/b Toy) L. JORDAN Junior ,
RUSSELL CLARK, J.T. PATTERSON and HORACE P. HUGHES. Burial was in
Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will assemble at the home of Mrs.
BERTIE JORDAN, 1084 West 43rd Street.
Anyone know this Clark-Lewis family? Annie Lewis Bryant being my great aunt
