Except the census records dont show the maiden name of his mother But she is always listed Corintha. On the 1900 census Elijah & Corintha state they have been married 35yrs.....supporting the 1864 marriage entry below. Henry is listed as both Henry & Clay Conklin on different census years. Elijah CONKLIN Event(s) Birth: 8 Mar 1839 , Monroe, Ohio Death: 29 Dec 1932 Lincoln, Lancaster, Nebraska Burial: 3 Jan 1933 Lincoln, Lancaster, Nebraska, Wyuka Cem. Parents Father: William James CONKLIN Mother: Ester Or Easter Malinda ACKLEY Marriage(s) Spouse: Corintha M BATY Marriage: 18 Nov 1864 , Jackson, Iowa I found the above listing on Familysearch.org (the LDS site). There is another listing where he is listed as: Elijah Friendly Conklin and all other info is the same. Be sure to check all of them out. Click on the 'Details' option down at the bottom of the page once you bring Elijah up and you will find names/address of others researching this line. One submitter even lists his web site. 1930 NE, Lancaster Co, Lincoln 2140 N. 30th St Conklin, Clay bn Neb, widowed, father bn OH/mother bn OH , Amvern 20 Bn Kansas, son, Div.. ***this entry originally had Fath in law & bro in law written in the relationship section but it was crossed off and Head....son were written in???? Several of Henry Clay's brothers & also his parents still live on N. 30th street for the 1930 NE, Lancaster Co, Lincoln census.. I know this has nothing to do with Louisiana like your original posting but it sure appears to be the same Henry Clay Conklin. Hope this helps Marsha Notify Administrator about this message?
