William R. Duryee b.1796 Schenectady Co.,NY. Settled in Livingston Co., NY in 1830. His 1st wife: L. CONKLIN b.1800 Cayuga Co.,NY. They were married in 1820 and she died in 1843. Twelve children:

His 2nd wife: Melinda (Rathborn) Shears b.1802 Saratoga Co., NY. They were married in 1845. She had one child from her previous marriage, James Harvey Shears b.1821.
