Rowland LEWIS was born in 1782 in Hoosick, Rensselaer County, New York. He died on 17 Mar 1864 in Caledonia, Boone County, Illinois.

He resided in Bloomville, Kortright, Triangle and Green NY from which place in 1855, he left for the West, going by boat on the canal to Binghampton, where he took a train on the Eerie Railway, finally locating in Capron, town of Caledonia, Boone County, IL, where he became a Methodist clergyman and a Republican. He died of pneumonia.
All the kids were born in Kortright and Bloomville, Delaware County, NY.

Huldah LEWIS and Eli BURDICK were married on 8 Apr 1844 in New York. Eli BURDICK (son of Thomas E. BURDICK and Susanna DIBBLE) was born on 25 Jul 1816 in Kortright, Delaware County, New York. In 1854 he was a farmer in Caledonia, Boone County, Illinois. He died on 27 Mar 1892 in Caledonia, Boone County, Illinois. He was buried in Poplar Grove, Boone County, Illinois.

After her sister, Henrietta, died, she took her niece, Ruby, and raised her. Glenn and Gertrude stayed with their father, Wyman B. Ogden.

County, New York. Family information says he was born in Kortright, but the birth index for Chenango County, NY indicates he was born in Greene, NY. He died on 8 Apr 1930 in Belvidere, Boone County, Illinois. He was buried in Poplar Grove, Boone County, Illinois. He was a carpenter.

Thomas Shirland LEWIS and Mary Esther BALDWIN were married on 27 Mar 1852 in Green, New York. They resided in Green and Triangle, NY, for 14 years, 1842-56; then located in Milford, CT, for 22 years, then went to Newark, NJ, in 1878, and then moved to Binghamton, NY, in 1883. He was a
soldier in the War of 1861, having enlisted in Providence, Rhode Island, in March, and was honorably discharged in June, 1865. They had five children, two born in Greene and the others in Milford, Connecticut, two sons and three daughters.
