My William was born in Whitechapel in 1782 and moved to Deptford, south of the Thames, sometime before 1812, when he married Sarah Dalgety. His father was John Cormack, born probably between 1750 and 1760. John was married to Elizabeth and he had a brother called William. This brother had a son, who I think was called Hugh. Most of this information came from John's will, which was proved in 1837. His brother John was already dead by this point. The will is difficult to read, especially Hugh's name. I don't know where the brother William lived or any other information about him yet. My Cormacks were in the seedsman, nursery trade.
Your William may be connected, it isn't a hugely common name, but can't see the connection at the moment unless you have anything to expand my information.
