I found this clipping in some family documents. I hope it can help someone. William R. Correll is my great great grandfather.

OBITUARY--

Willaim R. Correll was born in Sullivan County near Sullivan, Indiana, February 18, 1844, and died at his home near Everton Missouri, June 4, 1927; age 83 years, 3 months and 21 days. He was a son of Joseph and Mary Ann Keever Correll.

He was the seventh of a family of twelve children, five boys and seven girls.

He was married to Miss Sarah E. Johnson, in 1863. To this union one child, Mrs. Mettis M. Ryan, was born. His wife died in December 1900. His second marriage was to Miss Mary C. Dunn September 30, 1902. To this union one child was born, Mrs. Esther M. Jerome.

Bro. Correll was a Federal Soldier during the Civil War.

He made a public profession of faith in Christ in his early youth and joined the Methodist Episcopal Church. Later he united the the Protestant Methodist Church of which he was a member at the time of his death.

He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, two daughters, three grand sons, one grand daughter and one great grandson, all of whom are in Kansas City, except his wife and one daughter, Mrs. Jerome and her son.

Bro. Correll was one of our very best citizens, honorable and upright in all his dealings with his fellow man. A helpful and obliging neighbor. A good husband and father, a devout Christian.

His infulence in his home, and in the community was always uplifting for the good of all.

He now rests from his labours and his works do follow him.

Funeral services were conducted by Bro. Russell in the Sinking Creek Church; after which his remains were laid to rest in the church cemetery.

Peace to his memory; and the blessings of our Heavenly Father be with his loved ones.
