There may a problem wih too many Sarahs and Jacobs, causing them to be confused with each other. According to "Crabtrees of Southwest VA" by Fritz and McProud, Jacob, who declared himself to be age 73 in 1833 while living in Lee County, VA, less than 100 miles from Wayne Co, KY, had a wife Mary and a daughter Sarah. Lee County records show that Mary died July 27, 1849, and left the following children: Job, Richard, Hannah (wife of John Langham), Sarah (wife of Wesley Butram), and Rebecca (wife of William Crabtree). This may add to the confusion; but maybe it will help.
