I have spent a few days now looking on the internet at anything Crane in NJ. Just yesterday I remember seeing a reference to Benoni Crane who married Mary Clark in 1806. I think the site was called Old Newark Web Group/Marriages, but I'm only slightly interested in his family so didn't take a good reference. I'm assuming this Benoni is the youngest child of Edmund and Abigail Kitchell Crane. He died the same year Benoni was born 1761. Abigail died in 1801. I've been told that Benoni was not listed in his father's will. Edmund and Agigail lived in Whippany, Morris Co. NJ.
I think I've seen Benoni's children listed in Rootsweb World
Search and/or "Benoni Crane" on Google.
