Hi,
I am also interested in this family, as I believe my ancestor, Margaret Cassety (Lowell) was a sister of Elizabeth. I have from the Pioneer Cemetery in Fredonia, Chautauqua County, NY, Henry Crane, b. 1786, d. 16 Oct 1852 and Elizabeth Crane, b. 1798, d. 4 Mar 1858. Henry and Elizabeth are in the 1850 census in Chautauqua County with two children, Lydia, 21 and Mary, 15(?). The Fredonia Cemetery has a listing for "Cornelia" E. (Crane) Stanley, b. 4 Jul 1823 in Madison County, NY, d. 9 Feb 1878 in Fredonia. Her husband, Caleb Stanley, is also there; b. 25 Dec 1813 in Herkimer, NY, d. 22 Jun 1884 in Fredonia. The 1870 census for Pomfret, Chautauqua County, NY shows Caleb Stanley, 56, a harness maker, with Cordelia, 46 and Mary 22. By 1880 Mary was married to Samuel Codington; the couple lived with Caleb Stanley. I am fairly sure that Elizabeth and Margaret were daughters of Thomas Cassety and Nancy Warmuth (Wormwood). I would like very much to exchange information with you.
Judy Damewood
