Am trying to trace back to original crane/crain. I THINK it begins with Stephen Crane, Elizabethtown NJ. Everything I find says James Crain b. abt 1710 is Stephen's son. This can't be as Stephen is reported b 1635. That's asking a LOT of a man. Therefore, I suspect that the line may be
