Hi Margaret,
I see you are researching CROSBIE family. I wonder if you have come across my ancestors.
My great grandfather was David CROSBIE b 1879. He married Janet GM Scott in Newton Stewart, Wigtown 1898.
His mothers name on marriage cert is Ellen CROSBIE. As there is no father named and no maiden name provided for Ellen i assume she was an unmarried mother.
I have not had any success so far in locating Davids birth details. His wife & daughter appeared on 1901 census in Wigtown living with her parents and she was named as Bakers wife. No sign of David.
Have you come across any of these names in your search at all?
