I am a desc. from Paul Crosby Sr. thru Adam J. Crosby, Colquitt Co. Ga. Am looking for info on dau. Elizabeth of Adam who married H J Butler. Family information states that H J Butler left his family after a bad fight never to see them again. In addition, when Elizabeth Crosby Butler died, their daughters fought over the family bible. To stop the fight, the bible was placed in Elizabeths hands and the casket closed. Their one daughter Lura Elizabeth Butler Westberry is my grandmother. She died in 1929 when my father was only 2. H J lived and died in the area of Berlin, Colquitt Co. Ga. Would love to find out who his parents are. Have tried over 15 years. I believe his father might have been a John. Additional family information from elder family members state that he was from the area of Lake Butler, FL. or the northern panhandle of FL. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
