I see a lot of web sites that will "create" you a family crest or coat of arms and build you enough history about the name to makes you think you really have something! I'd like to hear from anyone that has a "true, old, sure, documented" crest or coat. I'd especially like it if from along my direct line from William. I have 3 key books on the Crowson family of America and will soon be posting for help on collecting information on the Crowson land grants in the late 1700s and early 1800s in East Tennesee. I am a 9th generation William Crowson, the first generation being William Crowson, circa 1745 - 1814 revolutionary war soldier. William Crowson owned land in East Tennesee (confirmed by the TN legislature in 1820) and his son Aaron settled in Wears Valley near Gatlinburg, TN where there is a family graveyard and tombstones. I'll share more about his later. I just wanted to identify myself. 1 William (revolutionary war soldier. In the DAR patriot index) 2 Richard Thomas 3 William Miller 4 Richard T. (methodist minister) 5 Benegar Bibb 6 David Harrison (methodist minister) 7 Quinton Throne (QT, my grandfather, teacher, mayor, CCC camp leader, lived in Bruce, MS) 8 William Nathan (Bill, my father, Surgeon, MD, Clarksdale, MS, later Memphis, TN) 9 William Nathan, Jr. (I go by Nat and I live in the Memphis, TN area) Nat Crowson Notify Administrator about this message?
