It is possible that the Williamson Co. TN Crosens are from the Crowson line. The spelling seems to have been shown both ways. For example, a John H. Crosen is shown in the 1870 census, and seems to be the same person as a John Crowson in the 1880 census. If in fact these are Crowsons, their ancestry is unknown farther back than this John H. Crowson, or Crosen....except for the fact that we know his mother was named Courtney Wells (1850 census). Since she was born in NC, the family might represent a migration from that state. We do have the Crowson line back to 1686, but as mentioned, we don't know where, and if, this John H. connects.
