1900 census:
Pulaski, Virginia
Crowson, Samuel - Head, b.Feb 1850, age 50,married 14 yrs, b England, parents b. England, emigrated 1883, Furnaceman.
Mary J., Wife, March 1868, 32, b.N. Carolina, parents b. N. Carolina.
Chas, Son, Aug 1890, 9, N. Carolina, England, N. Carolina
Lee, Son, July 1893, 6, ditto
Martha, Dau, Sept 1896, 3, ditto
William, Son, Jan 1898, 2,ditto.
In 1910, Samuel, Mary, Lee, Martha and William are still in Pulaski, Virginia. But, Samuel is 51 and emigrated in 1870! It will be difficult to find him in England unless you can find his marriage to Mary with a ref to his parents.
The name is unusual and there are only a few Samuel Crowsons listed on each UK census.....but I'm unable to tell which is the right one. Sorry!
