This is what I have in the Daggett-Doggett Genealogy, I see no Halfacre's in this family but, there was a William Jefferson Halfacre who married Roxie Ann Daggett about 1845 she would have been, coincidentally, Hartwell's Aunt... ie Oren Hartwell Daggett's sister... that's it.
I have Hartwell's ancestry back to John Doggett of Martha's Vineyard but I have nothing more on their descendants, can you add to this, are you related?

Holliday-[5588], was born on 22 Feb 1863 in Iuka, Marion County,
Illinois.
Hartwell married Tessie Charlotte Middleton-[13226] [MRIN: 7219], daughter of
Crawforh H. Middleton-[13231] and Mary Creel-[13232], on 24 Jun 1891 in
Iuka, Marion County, Illinois. Tessie was born on 5 Jan 1872 and died on
28 Jan 1961 in Centralia, Marion County, Illinois at age 89.
Children from this marriage were:
+ 2 M i. Edward Daggett-[13233] was born on 2 Jan 1894 in Iuka Township,
Marion County, Illinois and died in 1932 in Centralia,
Marion County, Illinois at age 38.
3 M ii. Ernest S. Daggett-[13234] was born on 28 Feb 1896.
Ernest married Myrtle Frink-[13237] [MRIN: 3746].
4 F iii. Nettie C. Daggett-[13235] was born on 2 Oct 1898.
5 F iv. Mary C. Daggett-[13236] was born on 4 Oct 1899.
Mary married Theodore Miller-[13238] [MRIN: 3747].
Mary next married William H. Kern-[13239] [MRIN: 3748].
6 F v. Mina Edna Daggett-[13240] was born on 26 Aug 1902.
Mina married Louis J. Klosterman Dr-[13241] [MRIN: 3749] on 29 Jun 1929.

County, Illinois and died in 1932 in Centralia, Marion County, Illinois
at age 38.
Edward married Eva Mae Stover-[15167] [MRIN: 5882].
Children from this marriage were:
