I am in the possession of a photo album which I believe once belonged to Eliza Bustard Daggett, wife of Daniel C. Daggett and would like to return it to any descendants that may have resulted from their 11 May 1881 marriage in Rock Island County, Illinois.
The ties to the Massachussetts/Rhode Island Daggetts are at least suggested by holiday cards she included from Commander and Mrs. George A. Alexander with the U.S. Naval War College there. Many of the cards are from the Cambridge, Illinois area and include names such as Carlson, Roth, Hardy, and Keyt, but efforts with the Henry County genweb site have not proven successful as of yet.
The black and white photos of them, innumerable family members/friends and their joint travels around the country (largely west) while spectacular, have all been organized without any names attached. The best clue in the album is a photo Christmas card which contains their names. The photos of this couple are the most dominant throughout the album, hence my approach to Daggetts and Bustards.
Any information about Daniel C. Daggett, who would have been born circa 1855-1863, is greatly appreciated, as are suggestions regarding how best to find the rightful owners of this album.
