Hello,
I am attempting to close some gaps in my research involving this branch of the DAIGLE family. I am trying to identify the events, names, places, dates and relationships that shaped their lives.Any help would be appreciated, especially any photos or newspaper articles, occupations, birth, wedding announcements, OBITS. Bibles, service records. Every detail helps. Perhaps you know of someone who shares my interests and could point me in that direction.I have these two articles.
1. "Where Did The Daigles Come From" by Written by Flo Daigle Perkins
and
2. "A Historical Sketch of the Parish of Terrebonne", by E. C. Wurzlow, Deputy Clerk of Court, and Member of the Houma Town Council.
Alice Josephine Daigle is listed as born on St Eloi Plantation. Did this belong to her family? Was this a sugar plantation? What did her father do? Was he in shipping? Perhaps this is how she met her husband as his family had steamboats out of Memphis.
I have some old photos, but do not know who they all are. Thank you again for your time and attention.

Emil married Cecilia Antoniata PORCHE on 29 May 1865 in Thibodeaux, LA. Cecilia was born 1848 in Terrebonne Parish, LA. She died 5 Jun 1936 in New Orleans, LA and was buried 6 Jun 1936 in Houma, LA. Daughter of Furcie Pierre PORCHE and Anne Augustine Aucoin.
They had the following children:

Marie married Armand ST. MARTIN.

F iii. Lilia Valerie DAIGLE was born 1 Nov 1871 in Thibodeaux, LA.and died 30 Jun 1940
Lilia married Felix Bonvillian
M iv. Emile Maxmillien DAIGLE was born 18 Nov 1873 and died 19 Aug 1926.
DID HE MARRY?
M v. Hippolyte Sidney DAIGLE was born 13 Aug 1875 and died 6 Jun 1931.
Hippolyte married Adonise Bourrgeois
M vi. Paul Henri DAIGLE was born 24 Aug 1879 and died 7 Dec 1937.
Paul married Claire Angela Klingman? UNPROVEN
F vii. Alice Josephine DAIGLE was born 19 Mar 1881 on St Eloi Plantation, Theriot, LA.and died 17 Aug 1971 NOLA
Alice married Hamilton King AVERY on 11 Dec 1901 in Houma, LA (THIS IS MY DIRECT LINE)
