Hi Ken-
THAT'S IT!!!! Those are my ancestors! I am descended from Clayburn (or whatever) Dalton and Frances Barnett by their Daughter, Callie Victoria Dalton (b.1868), and her daughter, Francis Seay Jett.
Can you share the information do you have on him or them? I know very little of Callie's brothers and sisters. I do know he married an Olive Christopher later, and Callie had 1/2 brothers and sisters.
I would also love to know about the Barnett family; I have a photograph of a mean-looking man with a pistol in his lap that my grandmother said was 'some of the Barnett people.'
As far as Milton County, GA goes, it was fromed form several counties many years ago, then dissolved into others. See the following link for the history of old Milton County, GA, including cecsus information, marriages, etc.:

Thanks again, Ken, for this light in the tunnel!
