I'm beginning to think it may be a different Caliborn Dalton and Fannie, but that sure is an amazing coincidence in the late 1800's Fulton/Milton County, GA! The Milton County census lists the people you have listed, again with no Callie. I know she was Callie Victoria, so I just don't know. Callie did marry John Blake, and they had a daughter, Nonnie. John Blake died, and then Callie married John Alexander Seay and had my grandmother and others.
Also of note is the fact that Callie had a sister named Emma Dalton, who married a man named Tate Scott. I don't see Emma's name listed in the census records for this Caliborn Dalton.
Ah, the mystery deepens! My great aunt just passed away December 13th. She was my grandmother's sister and was a wealth of knowledge-she'd probably be able to answer some of these questions. My grandmother is still living, but she has alzheimers pretty bad.
one other oddity. In the 1930 Milton County census, it lists Jane A. Seay as the widowed head of household with my grandmother (age 15) listed as her daughter. My grandmother did live with her mother for a time after the death of her dad and the older kids marrying and moving out, but did her mom change her name? Maybe sh changed it 3 times in her lifetime!
Oh well, I'll post here if I can clarify anything, and please do the same!
Thanks again-
Chip

At Least by 1885, they were back in Fulton County as 28 Sept 1885 Fannie Ann was born to "Claborn Paton and Martha (Barnett) Dalton".

The children in 1880 were Caroline P. 9, Charles 7, Mary S., Litt;e 3, Lida 1. No Callie Victoria ???

Charles married in 1896 Mattie Blake, Lida in 1898. Callie married 12 Jan 1890 to John Blake. Right ?

Other marriages in Fulton 1897-ca 1905 were Jane, Zora, R.G., Susie, Ada, C.J. (male).

Could Callie have been Caroline ? Middle names do not "square". So now you have another problem - normal for genealogy !
