Dalton Family Genealogy Forum

Some of you know me and some may not. In the past I have contributed many postings on the subject of J. Frank Dalton. Recently, Betty Duke left a post about a book on J. Frank Dalton. Many of you filed complaints. She posted the information on her site for a friend of mine. This friend, who does no believe Dalton was Jesse James, purchased these books from the estate of the author. Betty is gaining absolutely nothing financially for posting this on her site. The only thing she recieved was ONE copy of the book. And she tried to pay him for that copy. He refused payment because she posted the book on her site. Betty is located in Texas, I am in Duncan, OK and the books are in Lawton, OK. She has absolutely no connections with the books or the current owner of the books. She was told that if she wanted to post something to do with geneology, she could. A book talking about J. Frank Dalton claiming to be Jesse James? If that has no historical, geneological significance to the James and Dalton families, then what does? Anyone interested in the story? I asure you there is information in this book that you have never read anywhere else. This book was released months after Dalton "came out" in Lawton, OK in 1948. There was not another book written on him, I believe, until Henry J. Walkers and Howks first book came out in 1961. It was written by the reporters that broke the story and brought Dalton to Lawton. I do feel this book is a very important part of the whole J. Frank Dalton saga
