Hi Mr Haas,

Yes that is him in the 1920 census with another mispelling of his name. Because of this it has been difficult to track him before about 1900, also most census records have him as being born in North Carolina and not Georgia as that record states. Not sure why this is different...

I have searched all states in the 1880 census for some variation of his name and have several possible matches but no way to positively ID since I do not know the names of any brothers or sisters. Am I missing something on doing these searches? I've been on this for a while and can't seem to get past this point.

I really appreciate you helping and answering my post.
