our Nabby Dalton was from the Daltons of Essex County, Mass. It appears Abigails were called "Abby" and this morphed into "Nabby" in some cases.
In addition to the marriage of Nabby to James "Lurvy" in 1793 Salisbury, MA (Essex Co), I find a Nabby Dalton married Peter Lurvey in 1799 Essex. Lucy Da;ton married Caleb Eaton there in 1798.. James Lurvey married Harriett Stevens in 1785, Merrils married Stevens, Isaac Dalton married Eleanor Merrill in 1784 so all these families were inter-married.
It would seem that these Daltons may go back to Philomon and Bethia Dalton who were having chilren in 1723 Essex County. A John Webb had six sons born 1769-1778. Could the widow Nabby (Dalton) Lurvey have married a much older widower, John Webb ?
