I am trying to determine the birth family of Rachael Cox Daulton, b. Aug 1832 Morgan co., d. May 1918 Magoffin co. -- she is buried in the Allen cemetery on White Oak, Morgan county. I have been told that she had a half-brother named Elsbery Stacy and that Allen Stacy was her stepfather. Allen Stacy married Rachael's mother, Nancy Cocks/Cox, on 26 June 1849, in Magoffin county. According to information I have, Rachael had the following half-siblings, listed on the 1860 Magoffin census: STACY: Margarett age 8, John, age 6, William age 5, Hiram age 2, Mahala, age 8 months. Rachel Cox Daulton married Jilson Holliday in Morgan county at the home of Allen Stacy, witnessed by W. T. Pugh and Allen Stacy -- Joseph Pugh was minister. Her father may have been Allen Dalton (Daulton) who was a maker of Legal Whiskey in 1860 on White Oak -- he was born in Va.
