Hi, I am doing research for my wife's family tree. Her maiden name is Davis. We are stuck on her great grandfather Uriah Davis. He died in the Civil War at what we believe was the Siege of Peterburg. He was part of the 8th Alabama Infintry. He had a son William M.C. Davis and was married to either Tabitha or Tobatha Morris. Other than that we know nothing else. No date of birth, where he was born, or who his parents were. If you have any information please let us know.
