I am a Howard researcher- can anyone tell me the meaning of this deed? 1822 Bladen Co. Francis Davis, WM Davis, Benj. Evans and Mary his wife, Benj. Devane and Ann his wife and Ann Julia Harves (sic) to Richard Parish 150 dollars - 100 acres - 1/2 of 200 acre tract granted to Joseph Howard Sr. which said 100 acres was allotted to Francis Davis and wife Tabitha at division of John Devane Sr. Another deed in 1821 Bladen deals with 351 acres of land where Francis Davis lived patented by John Haywood (I think Howard) 10 May 1753 and one patented with 100 acres by Parmenas Howard sold to Richard Parish. Was this land sold to John Devane Sr. before his death or did he inherit this land somehow thru a family connection?? -------------------- I also noticed in other posts mention of a Henry and Malsey Davis possibly connected to this family- Malsey is a name that shows up in the Howard family - Grateful for any help. Thanks, Mary Scott Notify Administrator about this message?
