Donna- Here is the only official information I have regarding Pat, a marriage record from when he lived in Denver in the 80's. I have no idea if or for how long the marriage survived. I last saw him in the spring of 1986. She was a radio personality in Denver and continued to work under the name Shari Woodson. Groom: DAY, PATRICK J (00) Bride: WOODSON, SHARI L (00) Birth Date: N/A County, State: DENVER, CO Marriage Date: 08/21/1985 I did know Betty and saw her frequently during Pat's last year of HS in Glenwood Springs. He graduated in '79 from Glenwood Springs HS. I met his sister once on a day trip to Grand Junction, CO. where she was residing at the time. I never met Pat's brother Larry nor do I know anything of his whereabouts. Betty moved to Altus, OK after Pat graduated and met and married a man that I only know by the first name of "Will". He owned a restaurant in that town appropriately named "Will's Place". Betty did not remain in OK for long and the last I knew she was living in or near Durango, CO. I do not know the status of her marriage to Will at the time of her move to Durango. I have also come across some residence records for Pat that are located in Durango but I doubt that they are still valid or useful at this point in time. Pat did make mention of his father Joe on several occasions and indicated that he was in law enforcement. It seemed like he said Joe was in Phoenix but he could have said L.A. too. That was a long time and too many beers ago! Pat enlisted in the Marine's right after graduation and ended up in Beirut, Lebanon in 1983, living in the building that would, only a few months after he shipped home for discharge, be flattened by a terrorists truck bomb killing 241 American servicemen. Pat knew many of the servicemen in the barracks and took the whole thing really hard -understandably. Following his discharge in the early fall of 1983 Pat struggled with what I believe to be PTSD from the time he spent in war zones in the Middle East. From that time up until his disappearance I think it was a real struggle for him to re-assimilate. He was partying alot (I know because I partied alot back then with him) and was prone to sudden outbursts. I shared two different residences with him during that period of time. Nonetheless, I loved Pat like a brother and hope that one day, if I ever catch up with him, we can process the wreckage of that period of time and do some healing as I was living a pretty "hellbent" way of life at that time myself. Stay in touch and let me know if you gain any further information. Notify Administrator about this message?
