I would like to know where the name DeBose originated. In the Camden, South Carolina area were there DeBose or DuBose plan- tations during the early 1800's ? Were there any troops during the Civil War made up of DeBose family members ? In the Cam- den S.C. area were there any plantation owners with the surname of Brevard in the 1800's ? Do you know of any wagon trains that left with families from Camden for Florida with slaves and their owners. Would like any information you can share with me on Alexander and Margaret Gaskin Debose born 1832 and 1847 . THANK YOU VERY MUCH !!!
