Dalmellington Dempseys 19th Century

My Gt uncle,James DEMPSEY b24th July 1873 emigrated from Ayrshire, Scotland in the latter half of the 19th century.
His uncles, John DEMPSEY b 12 August, 1846 (wife Agnes ROGERS) and Robert DEMPSEY born 8th July, 1852 (wife .....
BARRON and daughter Elizabeth) also emigrated.
The Dempseys came from Co Antrim in Northern Ireland but lived in Dalmellington, Ayrshire, Scotland before sailing for NEW YORK. They lived in DUCHESSE COUNTY.
I believe some of the family went to BRIDGEPORT, CON.
I am trying to trace their families.
