I have Dempseys on my tree from Erith Kent England. I have John Dempsey born in Ireland c1845 I haveso far not found the location in Ireland. There is claim in the Tinham family; John's daughter Margaret(1869)married Ernest Tinham, that their Dempsey ancestors are cousins. It is this claim that I am trying to investigate. Does anyone have Jack Dempsey's Irish ancestry or know from which part of Ireland his ancestors hailed from?
