Hi all the Desmond families in Australia I am seeking info on one John(Jack)Desmond b 21/7/1878 who with his wife Louie(possibly Louisa) and daughter Mary sailed on the RMS Otway (Orient Line)from U.K to Brisbane in June 1915. Jack was an engineer and went to Australia to work on the Blackhall & Windera Railway.He then disappeared and he and his family were never heard of by the rest of the Desmond family in UK again.Are there any descendants of Mary his daughter or maybe any any other siblings born in Australia still around?.
Jack's father was John Joseph Desmond born approx 1858 in Waterford Ireland.John Joseph was a Master Glass Cutter and he married Harriet Russell in London and they lived in the Clerkenwell area. John and Harriet also had a daughter Mary Eileen (sister to Jack) she is my husbands grandmother.Any info would be greatly appreciated to fill in a few gaps.
