Timothy Desmond is my 4th great grandfather. Served in the 84th Regiment of Foot. UEL. Discharged from Merchant Sevice after 9 years in Detroit, MI 1790. Married 1792 to Barbara (Barberry). Son William James' son, William W., had a son named William Henry. This line ends with him. Had three daughters. First born girl, Marguerite Desmond was my mother.

Have found a "cousin" in Ridgetown, Ontario, Canada. Family history says that a lawyer named Elijah Brush of Detroit, MI. went to Ireland to settle Timothy's inheritance/estate. Claimed that Brush stole it from him. Wondering if there is anyway to find out where in Ireland that was? I know, far-fetched! Stranger things have happened, though! With the power of the genealogy community and the internet, I hope that I will find this information. Would like to know where in Ireland they came from!
