Virginia, I have a Timothy Desmond, born in Dublin do not know year, he had a son John born 1842 in Maine.Timothy has an uncle Timothy. I don't know anything about uncle.My son was in Ireland last fall and came across a Desmond castle, I think it was in Cork.Have photos which show Desmond crest.

Hope there might be a connection, then we can share the stolen estate.
