Patricia,

Although this line of Dinsmore is not in my direct line, I do have a connection to the Dinsmores of NH. I have looked at them for some years now and find the line confusing to say the least, but my sources say your Samuel is the son of David Dinsmore b. 1714, d. 1787 and Elizabeth Kennedy b. 1710, d. 1807. Both from Northern Ireland and apparently lived in Londonderry, NH for a time and then settled in Chester, NH. I have more on Samuel and his sibs if you want it. I also have the sources of the info. My connection to the Dinsmores is through a Mary Dinsmore that married a David McClure abt 1751. The McClures were of Chester NH too so your line was suspected as a connection and I researched it. I however show Samuel's wife as Mary Waddel and only one child, Elizabeth who married a James Wason. Perhaps a first wife?

If you wish, contact me via e-mail and we can maybe sort this out? You may have some clues for me too.

Dennis McClure
